I am a photographer based in Bristol, a city which was recently selected as the best place to live in Britain by The Sunday Times.
Photography has taken me around the world and I have met and photographed so many wonderful people. From children in African displacement camps to people of high profile , they have all inspired me and welcomed me into their lives....life changing really.
"As I was growing up my grandfather subscribed to only one magazine and each time I went to visit him I would always ask him if the latest copy had arrived. The pictures in that magazine transported me around the world and educated my eyes and mind to the power of photography. The magazine was of course National Geographic and even after reading and looking at the latest copy I continued to revisit the neatly stacked pile of yellow covered back editions. It was years before I actually owned a camera and more years before I became a professional photographer but the seeds that were sown by the worlds best photographers from a very early age took hold.
I am motivated to show the essence of whatever the subject matter and "tell the truth attractively"…be it a building, event, product or person. My work is characterised by clarity, attention to detail, careful use of light, intuitive composition and it is on time and on budget.
